Translating the Bible – Our Journey with God is written in 2 languages, English and Nigerian Pidgin. It has 3 sections.
The first section is the account of how God used Apostle Roy Okonkwo to translate the Bible into Nigerian Pidgin.
The second section is the translated part of section one. The translation is written in the Nigerian Pidgin standardized autography of the language.
The third and last section of the book is the translation into Nigerian Pidgin of the entire book of Matthew.
This is the first book written in Nigerian Pidgin using the standardized orthography of the language.
The book is full of stories of the progress of translating the Bible over many years as well as stories highlighting God’s mercy, miracles, provision and answers to prayers.
At the end of each chapter, 3 lessons the authors learned during their journey with God are listed with related Bible verses the reader can use for personal study.
